The Greenhill boys varsity basketball team will compete in the 9th Annual Grace Prep Invitational, which will be held from Thursday, Dec. 5, through Saturday, Dec. 7.
Greenhill’s first game will be on Thursday, Dec. 5 at 2:30 p.m. against John Paul II High School in Plano. The two teams matched up earlier in the year, with Greenhill coming out with a 76-68 win.
The winner of this game will play Lubbock Trinity Christian School on Thursday, Dec. 5 at 8:30 p.m.
This year, the team is led by senior captain Dillon Watt and junior captain Jaxson Thompson. Watt is averaging 15.7 points per game and shooting 55.2% from the field, while Thompson is averaging 22 points per game and shooting 51% from the field.
The team has less than 10 games remaining before the Southwest Preparatory Conference counter games begin. Their first conference game will be on Jan. 8 at Cistercian Preparatory School.
