On Wednesday, Jan. 12, eight seniors signed their National Letters of Intent, officially committing to play their respective sport in college.

Taking place in the Phillips Family Athletic Center, seniors Tatum Sims, Jason Estrada, Abby Platt, Mia Ness, Kellen Smaw, Caroline Vos, Erin Reynolds and Lilly Theiberg signed their letters. Before the individuals signed, a video was played to commemorate the best moment in their Greenhill careers. Each commit additionally gave a speech thanking everyone who supported them on their journey to compete at the collegiate level.

These were not the only seniors who have signed, as seniors Lee Dort and Noah Shelby committed early in the recruiting process. For the commits that signed on Wednesday, they were excited to share the moment with their friends, family, and coaches.

“Even though I’ve known where I was going to end up for college, it was still a big relief to have the ceremony,” said Estrada, who committed to Brown University to run track and field. “I was quite nervous throughout the ceremony, but it was nice to be recognized by all my peers, and I’m excited to be running track at the next level.”
