The Greenhill Boys Golf team won the Prestonwood Christian Academy Shootout on April 17 at Sherrill Park Golf Course. Greenhill Boys Golf has strong momentum heading into the Southwest Preparatory Conference tournament starting on April 24.

Greenhill had two boys teams compete in the tournament, and the winning team consisted of sophomore Hayden Sampson (scoring a 74), senior Barrett Self (74), sophomore Liam Fagelman (101), freshman Adam Strauss (73), and sophomore Eitan Hahn (85).

Strauss shot a 73, which was the best score out of the whole tournament, followed by Sampson and freshman Grant Colocousis, who shot 74, tying for third in the individual scoring.

“We have a really young team, and I think this win will take us onto winning even bigger things in SPC coming up,” said Fagelman. “Even though I didn’t compete very well, with all the talent on this team, we were still able to win the tournament.”

This is the first tournament Greenhill Boys Golf has won in over four years.

The team went on to get third in the SPC Championship tournament this past weekend.

“Everybody was locked in,” said Self. “And seeing all the boy’s smiles made us play better.”
