At 1:15 on Friday, Oct. 25, Upper School History Department chair Amy Bresie and Upper School English teacher Abby Seeskin hosted a Feminist Ice Cream Social.

At the most recent Upper School Community Time gathering, the pair discussed the idea with students by introducing Emma Goldman, an activist and writer from the early 1900s, who famously said, “If I can’t dance then I don’t want to be part of your revolution.” Bresie and Seeskin then announced that if “you believe that women are people, then you are a feminist.”

The social consisted of an ice cream sundae bar along with activities such as feminist coloring pages.
