Varsity boys and girls basketball, as well as varsity boys and girls soccer, will be competing against rival schools, the St. Marks School of Texas and The Hockaday School on Friday, Jan. 26.
Boys basketball will play St. Marks, at the St. Marks School of Texas at 7:30 p.m.
Both teams are 3-0 in Southwest Preparatory Conference seeding games, so, the winner of this game will earn the first-place seed in the SPC North Zone. The first SPC seed in each zone typically gets a first-round bye at the SPC tournament.
Girls basketball will be playing Hockaday at The Hockaday School at 6:30 p.m. Girls basketball and Hockaday are also both undefeated with 3-0 records, making them both tied for the first-place seed of the SPC North Zone. After this game, the girls team will have one more conference game to play against Oakridge School on Feb. 2.
Boys soccer will be playing at the St. Marks School of Texas against St. Marks at 6:30 p.m. The boys soccer team has a 2-2 record, and St. Marks has a 1-0-1 record. This game is crucial to giving the boys soccer team a chance to have a high seed in the SPC North Zone.
Boys soccer played against St. Marks on Dec. 14, 2023 in a non-conference matchup. St. Marks won 2-1.
Girls soccer will be playing Hockaday, at The Hockaday School at 5 p.m. Girls soccer is still undefeated, with a 3-0 record and Hockaday also is undefeated with a 2-0 record. This game will also help determine SPC North Zone seeding, and whether or not girls soccer will be the first seed. On Dec. 14, 2023, girls soccer also played Hockaday in a non-conference matchup and lost 2-0.
