In-Person Learning Shut Down Due to Icy Road Conditions

In response to the icy weather in the Dallas Metroplex, Greenhill has shut down in-person learning on Feb. 24, 2022.

In an email sent by Head of School Lee Hark and Head of Upper School Trevor Worcester, Upper School students will join classes virtually at 10:10 a.m. on Thursday. The class periods are the same in length and order as a gold day schedule but there will not be a Community Time break.

Before this, a notice was sent out to families telling them about the early dismissal on Wednesday. Parents picked their children up at 2 p.m. for Preschool and Lower School students and 3 p.m. for Middle and Upper School students. Upper School students who can drive were dismissed at 2 p.m.

In the email, Worcester acknowledged the unpredictable weather conditions and what will happen in the future.

“Many thanks for your flexibility during this closure,” said Worcester. “I will send details about Friday if there is a late start or full closure.”
