On Friday, Sept. 23, the football, volleyball and field hockey teams all have games to kick off Hornet Night.
The Varsity Football team is heading into conference play with a 1-2 record. Coming off a 17-14 loss to the John Cooper School. Their next game is against Fort Worth Country Day (FWCD) on Friday. Senior Mateo Lanzillotta leads the offense with 239 yards off 35 carries, with three touchdowns.
The Boys Varsity Volleyball team has a 1-0 record in conference play for the season and is led by junior Alden Kendall. They have a non-conference game on Friday against DasCHE.
Girls Varsity Volleyball is coming off a win against The Episcopal School of Dallas (ESD). On Friday, they also play DasCHE. Junior Zoë Gillen-Malveaux has been leading the team in hitting percentages.
Boys and Girls Cross Country will be running in the Southlake XC Invitational at Bob Jones Park on Saturday. Junior Chris Williams will lead the pack for the boys team with freshman Lilly Williams doing the same for the girls.
Varsity Field Hockey is 3-1 heading into a friendly game against ESD on Friday. The team has had two team captains commit to continue playing in college, with senior Zoya Iyer announcing her commitment to Johns Hopkins University, while senior Zoe Dzialowski committed to play for Rhodes College.
