Girls Varsity Basketball Practices Have Begun

The Girls Varsity Basketball team’s preseason practices began Nov. 1 but before then the team has been doing morning shootarounds to prepare for the season. Fortunately, this year will look much different than last year, and the season will start to look like normal.

“We don’t have to wear masks which will be nice,” said coach Darryn Sandler. “We treated practice last year just like we would any other year except we had to wear masks.

The lack of masks this year will certainly help the communication between players and coaches and make practicing much easier for the players.

It would be hard to judge any sports team’s performances based on last year. The obscure practices and lack of games would make evaluating a team’s much harder.

Sandler shared his thoughts on last year and how he thinks the team will perform this year.

“I think they did well considering the challenges we faced,” said Sandler. “It should be a good year.”

Practices have begun and games will be played soon. The Girls Varsity Basketball team is excited for this upcoming year.
