Upper School students competed in Winter Formal Color War competitions from Tuesday, Jan. 21, to Friday, Jan. 24. These games included a “Snowball Fight,” “Do you know your date?,” trivia and tug of war.
“The color war games are a great way to foster community and promote participation in all grades,” senior Eitan Hahn said.
The Student Council implemented a point system to the Color War games, powered by the app Rally. Rally is a Greenhill student-led app which tracks participation in school events such as when a student attends a sports game or art production.
The grade that places first in a Color War game receives 100 points, while grades that place second and third receive 50 and 25 points, respectively. The grade placing last in a game receives zero points.
This new point system added another layer of competition for Color Wars.
Seniors officially won Color Wars by placing first in all games, providing them with 400 points. Sophomores placed second with 125 point, juniors placed third with 100 points and freshmen placed last with 75 points.
“Participating in the events was super fun,” sophomore Julian Kincheloe said. “It felt good to represent my grade.”
