Upper School Experiences Power Outage
October 14, 2021
Greenhill has been experiencing some power outages, and on Thursday, Oct. 7, 2021, the Greenhill administration changed the school day schedule in order to let Upper School students end classes at 1:10 p.m.
“We are expecting the outages to continue on Thursday and be concentrated in buildings that predominantly house Upper School students and faculty,” said Head of Upper School Trevor Worcester.
In response to this, Greenhill has contacted Oncor, which is a repair company in the Dallas area, to help get the power back as soon as possible as well as prepare for anything ahead.
Instead of the normal daily schedule, community time will be dropped while all classes will end at 1:10 p.m. instead of 4 p.m. There will be a monitored space for students who cannot be picked up until later. Lunch will be served to those who stay on campus, and athletic practices will run as scheduled.
The school, however, is optimistic about a return to normal on Friday, Oct. 8.
