On March 9, 2020, the Greenhill Athletic Department appointed Tony Banks as its new Head Football Coach.

Coach Tony Banks worked under last year’s Head Football Coach Casey Selfridge as an Assistant Coach. Additionally, Banks has worked in Dallas as a private quarterback coach for the last few years.

Banks played in the National Football League (NFL) for nine seasons and was a part of the 2000-2001 Baltimore Ravens team. He started eight games that season and was with the team when they won the Super Bowl on Jan.28, 2001. Additionally, Banks made the all-rookie team in 1996 for the St. Louis (currently Los Angeles) Rams.

The Hornets are coming off a 1-9 season, and are definitely looking to turn things around. Hopefully, Banks will serve as a successful leader and turn things around for the Greenhill football program.
