Greenhill Celebrates Founders’ Day 2019

Today students and faculty celebrated Greenhill’s 69th Founders’ Day.

During the assembly, students, guests, and faculty were taken down Greenhill’s memory lane with a time capsule, which was examined by two Primer students and Assistant Head of School Tom Perryman.

Annual Faculty leader awards were given out as well and new Greenhill Legends were acknowledged.

The celebration also included the annual singing of “Best Friends,” with the piano played by Legend Michael Manes.

It was not only a day to celebrate Greenhill School, but, as Head of School Lee Hark noted, a day to remember the loss of life that occurred as a result of three U.S. attacks by Al Qaeda operatives on September 11, 2001. These events were reflected upon with a moment of silence.

The day concluded with an ice cream social during the traditional Heart of the Hill gathering, where students from all grade levels came together to celebrate the Greenhill community with their younger and older friends.
