The Middle and Upper School Band ‘POPS’ Concert took place on Monday, October 14 at 6:30 pm.

The concert was moved from the Quad to the Rose Hall in the Marshall Family Performing Arts Center due to rainy weather. This was the first major concert of the year (both bands play one major concert each trimester). In contrast to concerts that will take place later on in the year, this concert was designed to create a more lighthearted and playful vibe, with a variety of pop and rock songs in the lineup.

Some examples of songs played by the Middle School Band were Surfin’ USA, Mamma Mia and the theme song from the movie Captain Marvel.

One of the songs played by the Upper School Band was “Rosanna” by Toto.

Middle and Upper School Band Director Brain Donnell expressed his thoughts on the band’s performance:

“We were so proud of all the kids and how much they have progressed this year,” said Donnell. “It’s going to be an awesome year!”
