The Greenhill Middle and Upper School Choir had a winter concert on Dec. 8 at 6:00 p.m. in the Marshall Performing Arts Center.
The show included the Greenhill Singers, sixth-grade choir, seventh and eighth-grade choir, and Dance Company.
According to Middle and Upper School choral music teacher Lucik Aprahamian, the groups started rehearsing for this concert in August.
The singers performed eighteen songs, including many classic holiday sing-alongs.
“Sing-alongs are my favorite because everyone can get involved,” sophomore Quaid Oza said.
They performed classic Hanukkah songs like “Hanukkah, O Hanukkah” and the “Dreidel Song”, as well as Christmas songs “Winter Wonderland,” “Let it Snow” and “Feliz Navidad.”
The Greenhill Dance Company danced during the songs “Winter Song” and “Let It Be”.
“It was exciting to sing in front of all my friends and family,” said freshman Charlie Grace. “We have been working hard in class to put this performance together.”
Students say this year is different from last year due to the loss of seniors.
“We lost some talent, but we have a lot of upcoming singers this year,” Oza said. “I’m excited to see how this year goes for the Greenhill Singers.”
