Homecoming Week kicked off this week with Pajama Day. Students rolled out of bed and came to school in pajama pants, nightgowns and slippers. Many students chose to accessorize their outfits with blankets and stuffed animals.
It is a annual Greenhill tradition for the first day of spirit week to be Pajama Day.
“I love Pajama Day because it gives me an extra 10 minutes to sleep in the morning,” said junior Alex Han.
Students could submit their outfits through a Microsoft Form and vote on the best dressed each day. On Monday, a total of 139 people voted.
The winners of best dressed for Pajama Day were seniors Kendall Johnson and Jin Huang who wore Bruno Mars’ “24K Magic” inspired pajamas.
In second place was sophomore Samaira Panjiar with 35 votes, and in third was junior Trey Davis with 32 votes.
Besides dressing up, students also competed in the 5-on-5 Basketball event during Hornet Block. There was a team from each grade with six students and a minimum of two girls per team.
The winners of 5-on-5 Basketball were the juniors. The seniors placed second, the freshmen third and the sophomores fourth.
