On Saturday, Nov. 6 Greenhill’s Upper School Cross Country team competed in the Southwest Preparatory Conference (SPC) championship. The team’s top 10 boys and top 10 girls ran in the 5K at Norbuck Park at 9:00 AM.
18 schools in total competed in the championship, and Greenhill’s boys placed eighth and the girls placed seventh overall.
Episcopal School of Dallas (ESD) won overall for girls with a score of 45, and St. Mark’s School of Texas won overall for boys with a score of 51.
“The course at Norbuck is super hard, nobody really [gets their personal record] because of the hills,” said sophomore Elizabeth Mann.
In 29th place, senior Kendall Hashimoto finished first out of all of the Greenhill girls with a time of 21:11.0. In 31st place, senior Ravi Ingle finished first out of all of the Greenhill boys with a time of 17:37.0.
