Football Head Coach, Blake Ware has announced his resignation to take a job in Houston that will allow him to be closer to his hometown and his family.
Over the course of his five years at Greenhill, Coach Ware led the football team to an 11-38 record and produced college players such as Alvin Jordan `07 at the University of Louisiana-Monroe and Matt Oh `07 at Dartmouth University.
Players and families all over the Greenhill community felt his passion, enthusiasm, and leadership towards the game.

For the first time since 1971, someone other than Dick Hall, Boys’ Varsity Soccer Head Coach, will lead the boys’ soccer team. Before the season began Greg Krauss, Boys’ Varsity Soccer Associate Head Coach, was told he will handle more responsibility, including coaching, while Coach Hall lends his support and assistance in preparation for next year when he retires.
Coach Krauss was previously a junior varsity coach as well an assistant on the varsity squad.
During Coach Hall’s 38 seasons, he built one of the strongest programs in the Southwest Preparatory Conference (SPC). The program has qualified for the SPC Division-I tournament for more than 30 consecutive years and produced 15 D-I championships.

With the varsity football team struggling this fall and holding a 1-8 (0-4) record as of Oct. 29, the season must take on a different perspective.
The team has faced great adversity such as playing with a young team and having several players injured. Seven sophomores started against The Kinkaid School, and two freshmen received significant playing time.
With injuries and changes in schemes, there have also been 27 different defensive starters. The team said, however, that the season has still been very meaningful and an experience that each player can learn from.
Sophomore running back Max McKamy said the playing time he has received this year will benefit him for next season.

In week two of the National Football League (NFL) season, the Dallas Cowboys unveiled their state of the art stadium to a record-breaking crowd of 105,121 fans and millions more across the country. The crowd was the largest ever on hand for a regular season game in the history of the NFL.
The $1.15 billion stadium has many luxuries, including updated suites equipped with enough televisions to follow a majority of NFL games, upscale eateries and bars, the largest current high-definition television screen in the world (spanning 60 yards), and stands with a broad selection of food.
The aforementioned word that becomes an issue, due to the current state of the economy and extravagant stadium prices, is luxuries.

With a third-and-10 situation against an undefeated team, sophomore Nick Brienzi, quarterback, took the snap and rolled out to his right.
With defenders closing in on him and no open receivers, the play looked all but dead.
Just as two defenders went for the sack, Nick broke both of the tackles and started to run for the first down.
