The Varsity Cheerleading Squad has worked on improving all year and displayed its talent at the homecoming pep rally on Oct. 23.
Junior co-captain Kara Duncan, National Cheerleading Association (NCA) All-American Cheerleader, said that their performance at the homecoming rally was, "the most difficult routine that’s been done [by the squad] in a long time."
The surge of interest in cheerleading is a direct result of the effort of the squad according to junior co-captain Leah Duncan, fellow NCA All-American Cheerleader.

The cheerleading squad this year has added more new members than usual. The team lost multiple people due to transfers and graduating seniors. According to Tracey Pugh, the head coach, more than half of the squad is new to the team.
The squad has 14 members, and of them there are nine new members, two of which are freshman. Many of the sophomores and seniors cheered
