It’s time to dive headfirst into winter with Stiefvater’s teen-fiction novel, Shiver, a wonderful book for anyone who likes Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. It is a story of a normal human interacting with a supernatural human and building a romance. Although it’s a familiar plot, Stiefvater captures key moments and emotions in a new, more unique way, making the book all the more colorful. The book is also formatted so each chapter is narrated from a different view point (the two main characters, Grace and Sam). Each chapter heading also displays the temperature, a crucial element in the plot. And what a fantastic plot it is! The many varied events make this a wonderful cliff-hanger to read.
