My favorite movie theater in Dallas is the Inwood Theater because it has couches in its screening lounge. Lounging on couches, or love sacs in the front for those who are too late to claim a couch, is much preferable to awkwardly putting your feet up on the chair in front of you at normal theaters. Inwood Theater also has midnight movie classics on Friday and Saturday nights. Before going to the movies with friends we usually go to eat near the theater. While there are many restaurants around Inwood, I have been to only one: Rise n⁰1.

Greenhill will be hosting Logan Smalley, director of the documentary Darius Goes West (DGW), during a special Upper School assembly on Nov. 16.
DGW is an inspirational story about Georgia native Darius Weems, who has lived with Duchenne’s Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) for 15 years. Because DMD affects the body’s capability for movement, Darius has lived in a wheelchair for the majority of his life. In order to spread the word about DMD, Darius and 11 of his friends ventured to California in the summer of 2005, seeking to "pimp" Darius’ wheelchair on the popular MTV show Pimp My Ride. Since very little is known about DMD, Darius’ objective was to raise money for scientific research about DMD.
Seniors Katie Broder and Ryley Schlacther recently had the lucky opportunity to meet Darius and his crew for lunch.
